Page, Earl

Earl Page received a BS in physics from the University of North Carolina and an MS in nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State College in 1957. NC State was the first college in the world to offer a nuclear Engineering curriculum (circa 1950) and the first with a non-classified nuclear reactor. Following design and support work for the Enrico Fermi Fast Breeder Reactor in Michigan he served as Senior Safety Engineer for much of his career at Detroit Edison in support of the Fermi 2 boiling water reactor. The latter portion of his Fermi 2 support involved the application of probabilistic safety assessment (PSA) techniques to ascertain the level of accident risks for the Fermi 2 plant.
