Lisa Beth Hill PhD MA BA is the Chair of the Department of History and AP Coordinator for US History and US Government at Hamden Hall Country Day Preparatory School. She received her degrees from Emory University and her BA from the University of Maryland. She served as Program Coordinator at Elizabeth City State University, was Interim Dean and Chair, Department of History and Political Science at Tuskegee University, is the author of numerous publications, and has presented lectures on diverse subjects of Black history. She is the co-chair of the AP African Studies Development Committee that is piloting the course in 63 schools this academic year.
